The Municipal Building was built in 1954 and was home to the Town Office, Fire Station and Madison Electric.  During the late 1990's, Madison Electric moved to their present location on Route 148.

In recent years some exterior improvements have been made.  The retaining wall, granite clock, awning, fence, and landscaping was done.
